Before: The Rodeo Berm was an earthen berm, later augmented with asphalt and waste products, placed directly in the Topanga Canyon Creek channel to protect private property built in the floodplain. After California State Parks purchased the property, a multi-agency partnership convened to fund and implement aberm removal and creek restoration project. Project planning started in 2003 and the project was completed in 2008. © RCD of the Santa Monica Mountains
